1940 to 47

No. 305 (Polish) Squadron was formed at Bramcote on the 29th of August 1940. The personnel initially came from 3 pulk Lotniczy {Poznan) and 5 pulk Lotniczy (Lida). 305 Squadron became operational on 24th of April 1941 with their first operation over the 25th & 26th of April 1941.  It converted to the Wellington IV at the time of the move to Hemswell, having previously operated the Wellington II. Disbandment took place as personnel were moving to the PRC station at Portreath. The first party scheduled for 2nd of January 1947, the second on 6th of January 1947 itself.


305 Squadron were stationed at:
